Getting Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

The first step in getting suspected fibromyalgia diagnosed is
to find a physician, nurse practitioner or other health care
provider who is knowledgeable and compassionate. Maybe it
should be the other way around: compassionate and
knowledgeable.

The only sure way to find the right health care provider is by
trial and error. You can narrow the field by talking to other
people, especially people with fibromyalgia or who suffer some
kind of chronic pain, and asking for recommendations.
Rheumatologists are specialists in treating fibromyalgia, but
many times an internist or family doctor is just as
knowledgeable and helpful as a specialist.

Make an appointment with your chosen health care provider and
tell him or her your story. Describe your pain and other
symptoms and tell her how long you have had them. Answer their
questions, and get a sense for how you are being treated. If
you feel disrespected, or that you are not being taken
seriously, make an appointment with a different health care
provider. Keep going until you find a professional that you can
relate to. Diagnosing and treating fibromyalgia is a partnership
between you and your healthcare provider, and you need to be
able to work together on this.

You can expect that a health care provider who is knowledgeable
about fibromyalgia will take a health history, perform a
physical examination, do some blood work and perform a point
tenderness test. That?s the minimum.

The blood work will usually be to make sure there aren?t other
problems, like rheumatoid arthritis, causing your symptoms. The
real ?test? for fibromyalgia is trigger point tenderness. The
doctor will press on 18 specific areas of your body to test for
tenderness. If you have achiness all over and are unusually
tender over 11 or more of these trigger points, they will
usually conclude that you have fibromyalgia.

Even this is a bit tenuous, though, because, as you know, the
pain of fibromyalgia comes and goes. There are many other
trigger points over your body that may be tender. The ones that
are used for diagnosis were chosen by researchers as the ones
most commonly affected.

Until recently, there have been no diagnostic tests for
fibromyalgia, other than trigger point tenderness. A few tests
are beginning to be used now, though. Your doctor may or may
not order these tests; they are not widely used yet and their
usefulness hasn?t been proven. The tests are:

* Cytokine levels, which are often abnormal in people with
fibromyalgia.

* APA assay (antipolymer antibody). APA levels are thought to
be elevated in people with fibromyalgia.

* Sleep study. This may be done both because most FMS patients
have sleep abnormalities, so an abnormal sleep test makes the
diagnosis clearer, and to identify and treat specific sleep
problems.

* MRI or PET scan. People with fibromyalgia have abnormalities
in both MRI and PET scan.

* EEG. Some researchers have discovered EEG abnormalities in
people with fibromyalgia.

As more research is done, better, more definitive tests for
fibromyalgia may become available. That would be a huge benefit
for both patients and health care providers, because diagnosing
fibromyalgia would be easier and more certain.

Danish, British, Knights of Malta and American influences.
Thriving sugar crops gave way to tourism in the late 1960s as
the islands primary source of income. So you?re sure to be
treated like royalty.

Health Fitness Guide ? Thoughts, The Foundation For All Health And Fitness Achievement

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can
achieve” - W. Clement Stone

Like any learned skill, there are certain basics that must be
mastered first. The very bedrock upon which all health and
fitness achievement rests are thoughts. Everything man-made in
the world or any action you’ve taken in the past all started
with a thought. There is not one man-made object or goal that
didn’t start as a thought in someone’s head that was then made
into reality. Your toaster, your TV, your automobile, your
desire for better health.

A single thought ultimately transformed into physical reality.

In order to achieve any health or fitness goal you must start
with this basic concept; thoughts are things. Thoughts are the
foundation upon which you build the framework for attainment of
your goal. Every thought has a physical manifestation in our
bodies; every thought produces physical substances called
neuro-transmitting enzymes that have instant effects on how we
feel and who we are at the cellular level.

Don’t believe me? Think of biting into a big, juicy lemon or
think about fingernails slowly running down a chalk board and
tell me you didn’t have an immediate, physical response.

Or how about a thought that changed the world?

Every day, thousands of times a day, all over the world people
fly from destination to destination. It’s amazing that a person
can step into a device that lifts them off the ground and flies
through the air at great speed sometimes over great distances
safely carrying them to their destination in a matter of
minutes or hours! Only a bit over a hundred years ago that
would have been considered impossible or a miracle. Yet it
happens every day today and it started with a thought in
someone’s head that man could fly. On December 17th, 1903 the
thought that man had had for generations to fly, became
reality.

That is the power of thoughts!

If you can have that kind of immediate response from such a
simple thought, just imagine what you can accomplish with a
focused, burning desire backed by faith and persistence!

Life isn’t fair or normal, there’s just life. But that should
be a comforting thought. If life were fair all things would be
equal and all people would be equal. The logical conclusion is
that there could be no social movement up or down, no bettering
of yourself nor worsening, no getting healthier, just
stagnation. Because life isn’t fair it means you have the
ability to control whether you improve your life or make it
worse but at least you have the ability to make change.

What about external influences which you have no control over?
Say your significant other is killed in a car accident or you
become paraplegic in a skiing accident. The list could go on
and on. But there is one thing you have total control over.

Viktor E. Frankl, a concentration camp survivor, put it best in
his book “Man’s Search for Meaning,”

“The one thing you can’t take away from me is the way I choose
to respond to what you do to me. The last of one’s freedoms is
to choose ones attitudes in any given circumstance.”

The only absolute freedom you have is choosing how you react to
life. And how you choose starts with a thought.

Who you are right now is the sum total of what you’ve thought
about up to this moment. If you’re not satisfied with who you
are right now, the good news is who you will be from now on is
entirely up to you. Change your thoughts and you can start
changing yourself. If you want to lose weight or be more fit,
it all starts with a thought.

Life Insurance - Your Family, Who Cares?

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Like the ostrich, are you sticking your head in the sand when
it comes to insuring yourself? According to recent statistics
from the insurance industry, sales of the most basic personal
protection insurance products, i.e. life insurance and income
protection, have been falling, despite reductions in premiums.

Maybe people think if they ignore the need for such insurance,
it may go away. It?s never going to happen to them ? it can?t.
But it can and it does. Lack of income protection may be a
disaster for you and your family. Lack of life insurance would
mean devastation for them and there would be nothing whatsoever
that you could do about it.

The insurance industry are quite right to be concerned about
the reasons for the decline and are clearly making a great
effort to communicate the value of both health and income
protection and life cover. As one critical illness provider
stated, they have received a lot of negative media coverage
regarding rejections of claims and payment delays. However,
they also make the comment that ?Providers are now publishing
their claim statistics, and this transparency is helping to
improve consumer trust.?

The industry feels that some of the problem may lie in their
application forms. These are not particularly user-friendly and
people can be discouraged from filling in long and
complicated-looking forms. Some of the definitions in the
policies are very difficult to comprehend and frankly
uninspiring. Maybe what is needed is a new look at the
marketing of these products with a view to producing more
simple and easy to understand literature.

Critical illness cover is designed to pay out an agreed sum
should you be diagnosed with any of a list of serious
illnesses, such as heart disease, cancer, strokes, diseases of
the nervous system etc.,

It?s a worrying fact that one in three people will suffer from
some type of cancer in their lifetime. Improvements in
diagnosis and treatment are encouraging, but taking some types
of leukaemia as one example, the treatment can last as long as
18 months or more and return to full time work could be delayed
for some time after that. The medical conditions covered will be
clearly shown on the policy and this should be studied
carefully. The cover is designed to give you and your
dependants a cash sum at a critically important time, leaving
you to get on with your treatment and recovery. It is extremely
important that you disclose all previous illnesses, no matter
how trivial. As soon as a claim is made, the first thing the
insurer will do is to go through your medical history with a
fine tooth comb. Tell them everything and you?ll not have a
problem.

The effect of critical illness can be far-reaching. You may
need to change your career, your car or even your home. It?s
not a time to be worrying about where your next pay cheque will
be coming from. Do consider this really important form of
insurance.

A shocking fact is that almost 50% of the population of the UK
have absolutely no form of life cover. If you are single, have
no debts and absolutely no dependants in need of support in the
event of your death, then you probably have no need of life
insurance. How many people are in this position?

It?s possible that you have some form of insurance through your
employment. Check this with your employer. There may be an
element of income protection or life assurance but almost
certainly this will need topping up.

There are several types of life cover. Term insurance means
that your life is covered for an agreed term. Commonly this
fits in with the life of your mortgage, or maybe a loan. A
whole of life policy is payable on your death.

As far as your family is concerned, would they be able to
continue with their current lifestyle if the worst was to
happen? Provision should be made for them. At the very minimum
you need to cover the period until the youngest child can
reasonably be expected to become fully independent.

Don?t delay. Take advice on the amount of cover you need.
Critical illness and life insurance are imperative if your
family is to have financial security. Unless by any chance you
happen to be a millionaire!

You?ll find all the advice and help that you need if you go
online. It?s no use going to an individual insurer, it?s better
to find an experienced broker who?ll compare the various
companies and come up with some options for you. There?ll only
be one session of form filling and then you can relax and know
that you?ve taken the first important steps to protect your
family.

Good health and long life.

How Your Bank Can Save You Money

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

If you think your bank is costing you too much money, then now
is the time to look at ways your bank can help you save money
rather than spend it. Although there will always be bank
charges and fees, there are ways to save money using banks and
make the most of their services. Here are some tips about how
to cut down on bank costs and save yourself money.

Savings

One way to save yourself money through your bank is to open a
savings account. If you have a fair amount of money in your
current account, then transferring it to a savings account with
a high interest rate is a good idea. Having a savings account
does more than just save you money; it earns you money. The
interest generated from a savings account means that you are
making money from the money that you store. However, you should
remember that many banks charge a fee unless if you go below a
minimum amount in the account, so keep track of this in order
to save yourself money.

ATM charges

Another way that you can save money when banking is to use free
ATM machines. Some ATM?s charge you a fee to take money out,
either for the convenience of because the ATM does not belong
to your bank. If at all possible you should stick to ATM?s that
don?t charge you money. If you do this regularly then you could
save yourself ?100 a year or more.

Overdrafts

Perhaps the most expensive fees that you can get charged by
your bank are for using an unauthorised overdraft. Even if you
never go into the red, it is advisable to agree an overdraft
amount with your bank. This will save you a lot of money in
case you do ever go into the red, and it costs you nothing if
you don?t use it.

Online banking

Online banking can save you money by helping you to pay bills
on time and avoiding late payment fees. It can also help you to
manage your money better and so budget more effectively thus
reducing your spending. However, some banks will charge you for
the privilege of using online banking. You should definitely
look for a bank or account that does not charge you for using
online banking, as there is no need to pay for basic online
banking these days. Although the fees might be minimal, any
money saved is good.

Borrowing money

Perhaps the area you can save the most money on is when you
borrow money. Make sure that you get the best deal possible on
any credit cards or loans you take out, and remove any
unnecessary features that are costing you money.

Change banks if you have to

If your bank is still costing you more money than you would
like, then don?t be afraid to look elsewhere. There is no
reason why you should be loyal to a bank if they don?t serve
your needs, and other banks may offer you better rates because
you are a new customer. Even if you are currently happy you
should look at the competition every few months to make you
that sure terms are the best you can get.

Leonardo Da Vinci: Leonardo’s Animals Part 1 Of 2

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1492 at a Tuscan farmhouse in
Anchiano, Italy, near the town of Vinci where he spent most of
his childhood. He was the son of Ser Piero and a girl called
Caterina who worked for him. After Leonardo was born, the
father and mother did not remain together. Only recently have
details of Leonardo’s birth mother come to light. In 2002,
Alessandro Vezzosi, Director of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in
Vinci, Italy, told the press they had found substantial proof
Leonardo?s mother was a slave girl and not a peasant girl, as
previously believed.(1) Vezzosi went on to report that
Leonardo?s father was a craftsman who owned a Middle-Eastern
female slave named Caterina. And, according to their discovery,
a few months after Caterina gave birth to Leonardo, she was
married off to one of the workers.

Leonardo lived in Anchiana and in Vinci until he was eight
years old. Afterwards, he moved to Florence with his father.
When Leonardo was 14, he became an apprentice under the famed
sculptor and painter Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. In that
period, Verrocchio was the leading Florentine artist. By the
time Leonardo was between 21 and 23 years old, he had become a
very skilled painter. Verrocchio permitted Leonardo to help
with an important painting, The Baptism of Christ (Uffizi
Gallery, Florence). Leonardo painted the background and the
kneeling angel. It is said that when Verrocchio saw that
Leonardo could paint better than anyone he had ever seen,
including himself, he gave up painting for good. Verrocchio
decided he would concentrate on sculpture.

Leonardo da Vinci was said to have a great love for animals,
and his journals further illustrates this. He was a vegetarian,
at least in the latter part of his life (we don’t have definite
proof that he was a strict vegetarian in his early life). He
wrote, “The time will come when men such as I will look upon
the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men.”
He also remarked, “The smallest feline is a masterpiece.”

In the 1480s, Leonardo painted Lady With The Ermine. The Lady
in the painting is Cecilia Gallerani, the 17-year-old mistress
of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan. She carries an ermine for
three reasons. First, for the Duke of Milan, having been
appointed to the Order of the Ermine by Ferdinand I of Naples,
the ermine was the symbol of heraldry on his coat of arms.
Second, the ermine was considered to be a symbol of virtue and
purity. And finally, it was a play on Cecilia Gallerani’s name
since the Greek name for ermine is “galee”.

In Leonardo’s notebooks, he wrote that the ermine eats every
other day. Most likely the ermine, an animal related to the
sable and weasel, stayed in the studio while the painting was
being completed. In the Renaissance period, soft-hair paint
brushes were made of ermine tail tips. Brushes were also made
from squirrel fur and fastened into goose or hen feathers ?
another reason the ermine might have been at home in the
studio.

Leonardo da Vinci included cats in many of his sketches. On one
sheet of animal sketches in his notebook, the artist portrayed
more than twenty cats, and one dragon. He drew cats in
different poses, alone, with other cats, and being cuddled and
held. His sketches are lively and reveal the solemn affection
he had for felines.

Throughout the mid to late 1470s, Leonardo worked on a series
of different studies relating to the theme of the Madonna and
the Christ Child, holding a cat. It was originally thought that
no paintings existed beyond his initial studies for these
paintings. Recently; however, Madonna with the Cat, which is in
the collection of industrialist Carlo Noya in Savona, Italy, was
discovered to be a painting by none other than Leonardo.(2) The
painting is based on a legend about a cat being born at the
same moment as the baby Jesus.

Other sketches for paintings that feature animals and are based
on a legend or myth is that of Leda and the Swan. Although no
actual paintings exist, there are countless drawings. The story
is that Leda was seduced by the God Zeus in the form of a swan
and bore two eggs, which resulted in the creation of Helen of
Troy with Clytemnestra, and Castor with Pollux.

Although there are countless studies and sketches made by
Leonardo, only 13 or 14 actual paintings exist today. One of
these is Madonna and Child with St. Anne, painted from 1508 to
1510. The figures depicted all relate to one another, and the
baby Jesus is shown tightly holding a little lamb. Da Vinci
painted the lamb with sensitivity and detail. The lamb is
symbolic of Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death for mankind.
Leonardo?s animal subjects are based on reality and are filled
with vitality.

Let The L?yly Be With You - Why So Many People Are In Love With Their Home Saunas

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Saunas have been a way of life in many parts of the world for
at least 2000 years. In Finland, with about 5 million people,
there are nearly 2.5 million saunas. This is more than enough
to have a home sauna in every household. Traditionally Finnish
life was centered around the sauna. Many people even went so
far as to give birth in the sauna due to its hygienic nature.
Ilkka Vuori explains that ?For us sauna means health in the
sense of good hygiene, relief of aches and pains,
companionship, leisureliness, detachment from the everyday
worries, physical and mental relaxation, good sleep, and thus
general well being?. Only the real deal gets this kind of
endorsement and survives the test of time.

Ok so what is l?yly and what does it have to do with saunas?
Physically L?yly is the envelope of heat and steam that
surrounds you in the sauna as water is poured on the hot rocks
(konnos). Its ancient meaning was also associated with the
?spirit? and even ?life? itself. It was credited with driving
out diseases and there are claims that even unhappy love
affairs could be settled through the use this l?yly.

The unhappy marriage part is mostly anecdotal but there is
sound scientific evidence to support the health benefits of
regular sauna use. The heat stimulates the circulatory system,
giving a cardiovascular workout and burning calories even while
relaxing. Sweating has multiple health benefits. The skin is
cleansed from the inside out. Pores are flushed out,
eliminating dirt and oils that cause irritation, infection and
related problems like acne. Toxins within the body are
transported out of cells due to the heat and eliminated in the
sweat. This has lead to the popular use of saunas as an
effective form of detoxification. There is substantial evidence
that the negative ions released during the formation of l?yly
help balance body chemistry. We have all heard about the good
that antioxidants do. Antioxidants are healthy because they
balance the free radicals that do damage in our bodies.
Negative ions act the same way that antioxidants do, in fact
antioxidants are just specific form of negative ions. Many
people claim that the immune system is also strengthened with a
regular sauna regiment

The mental benefits of sauna use can be as important as the
physical benefits. Stress can manifest itself in some real
physical illnesses. We all should have a ?happy place? we can
retreat to as an escape from the trials and tribulations of
everyday life. What better place than a sauna? This is much
healthier than turning to chocolate (or worse) as an escape.
The environment of a sauna promotes good feelings and soothes a
troubles mind. It is not easy to feel bad in a sauna and the
feelings of relaxation and peace tend to stay with you long
after the sweating is over.

So why are saunas now taking on ?fad? status in some parts of
the world? One of the main reasons for the dramatic increase in
sauna use has to do with convenience. It is now much easier than
ever to have a sauna in your own home. You no longer have to go
to the gym and ?get naked with the masses? to enjoy the sauna
experience. Although many prefer to build their own sauna,
today it is possible to order a prebuilt unit and have it
delivered right to your home. Many models can literally be
installed within minutes. For those do-it-yourselfers there are
a multitude of precut kits available for delivery that can be
constructed in a very reasonable amount of time.

Another innovation is the Infrared sauna. This is a relatively
new way to produce the body heat that increases circulation and
promotes sweating. Infrared saunas use infrared waves that heat
you and not the surrounding air. There is no l?yly from heating
water but infrared saunas tend to be more time efficient,
needing very little time to warm up. There is strong evidence
that suggests infrared heat penetrates deeper into your skin,
making them even more effective than traditional saunas. With
all these new developments it is no wonder that so many people
are choosing to enjoy their own home saunas.

About The Author: Mike Hirn has enjoyed the health benefits of
saunas for many years. His website is dedicated to helping
people build and enjoy home saunas.

What Should One Go For? Paid Or Free Directory Inclusion?

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

A directory is the ultimate place to go if a business is
seeking linking partners. Inclusion in the web directories can
be both free and payment-based. Now-a-days, most business
webmasters are well aware of widely used web directories as
Yahoo! Directory and DMOZ (The Open Directory Project).
Although the latter is a free option, the Yahoo! Directory
offers paid inclusion for commercial websites. In addition, one
may also consider other directories which are unequivocally
worth checking out. In this article, both the merits and
demerits of paid/free web directory inclusion will be discussed
briefly. Please read on.

There is no final answer for any every business and website.
The ultimate answer is what is truly ideal for an individual
and his business. If one is not sure about picking a paid of
free directory inclusion, then it is suggested that he assess
his needs before anything else. He has to consider whether his
business requires immediate exposure. If the waiting duration
on the free directories proves to be too long, then one
definitely needs to consider paid inclusion. Moreover, it
should be considered that paid directory inclusion also saves
one from the time consuming hassle of editing a directory
category. A really good commercial directory service is usually
featured by prestigious organizations and thus, it can offer
credibility to one?s site in exchange of a good amount of
money. On the contrary, one should go for free directory
inclusion if his budget cannot handle the financial
requirements of paid inclusion, especially the unknown totals
of pay per click.

In a nutshell, a limited-budget business should obviously go
for a free directory inclusion despite a few demerits. On the
other hand, a financially bolstered business is advised to
obtain a paid directory inclusion as it is worth every penny.

Moonwalk Inflatable Industry Growing Every Year, And Coming To A Place Near You

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Many, many years ago, all that children received on their
birthday was presents, and a cake, and perhaps a small party if
they were good…………boy have things changed!

The inflatable products market is really ?taking off? (if you
excuse the pun!) as more and more children follow the trend for
larger and better birthday parties. The industry is
unrecognisable from only 5 years ago, and has become more
professional and focused, as the craze sweeps around the World.

Bouncy castles, slides and combos are now common-place at local
fairs, churches, schools, parties - it seems that where there
are children, there is a necessity for better and better
children?s entertainment.

As the market continues to grow, so the range and number of
suppliers / manufacturers and hire companies expands further
and further. The range of products covers the smallest of one
person slides, to the largest inflatable castle that you could
imagine. So what is really fuelling the increase in demand?

There are a number of factors involved in this phenomenal
growth, which include falling purchase and hire costs, product
quality and most importantly the safety aspect. While safety
has always been a major issue with children?s products,
advances over the last few years have increased user
confidence.

Also, the industry is now well encamped in the part-time home
business market, which is proving more and more popular as
people look for ways to top-up their normal income and give
their families that little bit extra. The ease of access to the
ever changing range of products, simple operation instructions
and a useful income for those willing to work, have all
contributed to a substantial increase in demand.

The attraction to party planners, fair organisers and the like
is simple - guaranteed money! At these fund raising events the
first thing the children will make for is the bouncy castle,
and you will not see the adults complaining - a few minutes of
peace and quiet!

What is the attraction for parents, and birthday parties? There
are many reasons why this private party market is becoming more
popular, but perhaps the main on is that the kids actually love
them. Bigger and better, more colourful than before, with
additional play areas, a quality inflatable will keep the kids
busy for hours. As the children are all confined into this
relatively small play area, it is much easier to handle
slightly bigger parties than before.

The inflatable industry actually began in the UK, many years
ago, before spreading to that generator of trends, the USA. As
the US market becomes more and more saturated with an
increasing number of entrants to the industry, many companies
have spread their operations to Europe, and other overseas
markets.

So where will the market go from here? The inflatable industry
is proving more and more innovative with new products being
introduced all of the time, including interactive areas where
kids can play with inflatable toys - safe from harm, but having
great fun. What next?

How To Decide Which Discount Vitamins Are Right For You

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

With a plethora of discount vitamins available for purchase,
how does a buyer know which ones are the right ones for his or
her lifestyle? Saving money by buying vitamins on line at a
discount is a worthwhile endeavor, but how much is it worth if
the wrong vitamins are chosen?

There are a number of factors to consider in achieving the
correct combination of vitamin intake and lifestyle. One must
take into account whether a person is an indoor or an outdoors
type. Are home cooking or fast food the eating options? Is a
person leading an active, athletic life, or mainly a sedentary
one? Which vitamins are best for all the different ways people
live?

When a person is sedentary, spending a large portion of the day
indoors, doing tasks such sitting at a desk, talking on the
phone, and working on the computer, with little or no time for
exercise, then he or she may want vitamins to bolster that
lifestyle to stay healthy. To keep the nervous system and brain
at top levels when doing these types of tasks, one should choose
a vitamin B complex. It will also support the immune system,
which may be necessary if exercise is at a minimum. There is
also the added stress relief factor with a vitamin B complex,
which may be important in a high profile work situation.
Actually, can?t nearly every lifestyle afford stress relief is
today?s fast-moving world?

If a person isn?t able to get regular exercise, they aren?t
producing endorphins, which stimulate the production of
serotonin. Serotonin, in turn, helps keep a person on an even
keel, warding off depression. A deficiency on vitamin B9 (Folic
Acid), or vitamin B12 can bring on depression, so taking these
two vitamins together can maintain the chemical balance that is
needed, especially with low exercise levels.

If this same individual is consistently an indoors person, due
to job requirements, or to personal preference, he or she may
want to consider supplementing with vitamin D. Vitamin D is
manufactured by the body after being exposed to sunshine. If
someone gets very little sunshine due to lifestyle or even the
climate in which they live, it is necessary to take it in
vitamin form. A serious vitamin D deficiency can lead to
osteoporosis in adults or rickets in children. So preventative
measures are necessary.

This person may have a job that relies heavily on brain power.
It is interesting to note that vitamin D aids in the body?s
absorption of calcium. Not only is calcium necessary for the
normal development of bones and teeth, but it also is important
to nerve cells and brain cells. So buying discount vitamin D can
give that overworked brain a lift.

When considering the necessity of healthy muscles that will
help one perform in any physical situation, one must regard the
benefits of vitamin E. This anti-oxidant prevents muscle
weakness and impaired vision, especially in children. In
adults, it has shown to have a beneficial effect in preventing
cancer and heart attacks.

With an active lifestyle, there are inevitable scrapes and
bruises. If this is an occurring problem, extra vitamin K may
be considered because it is what is needed for the blood to
clot normally. It is also a preventative for internal bleeding
and hemorrhaging.

For the person doing considerable reading and close-up work, a
choice of vitamin A is recommended. This vitamin has a role in
maintaining good eyesight, especially in defining bright
colors. A fact that many do not know is that vitamin A helps
maintain the epithelial cells of the skin. A deficiency can
lead to dry skin, or even dry, itchy eyes that may tire quite
easily. In this computer age, where one spends hours daily at
the pc, this vitamin is a necessity.

Also, because vitamin A aids in night vision, a person who does
a considerable amount of driving at night, such as a semi
tractor trailer operator, or even a third shift worker who is
driving to work every evening in the dark, should consider
taking vitamin A supplements.

Vitamin C is required to keep body tissues and muscles in their
best shape. So it is needed by both the sedentary person, as
well as the very active person, who might be using his muscles
excessively. Smokers are especially encouraged to take Vitamin
C.

This vitamin is also aids in collagen production for skin,
cartilage and connective tissues, so the person who loves the
active life of running, mountain climbing, bicycling, or other
sports, definitely needs to boost his intake of vitamin C.
Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling advocated the use of vitamin C as
an immunity booster to treat the common cold, which every
lifestyle can use!

The body requires all of these vitamins to be at its peak, to
maintain healthy skin, bones, nerves, and brain power. If
someone is not eating properly, and quickly downing fast food
on the job, or in the car, it is extremely necessary to take
those vitamins needed to stay healthy. Even if one is able to
prepare most of one?s own food, it isn?t always possible to eat
enough of every vitamin-rich food required, every day of the
year.

Vitamin supplements are a quick, and easy way to make sure
every lifestyle is getting the nutrients required. It isn?t
even necessary to go to the mall to a specialty health store to
purchase them. The vitamins of choice can be purchased online
and even at discount prices.

So no matter what lifestyle one is pursuing, either by choice,
or by necessity, it can be enhanced by adding vitamins. The
wise choice is to get started sooner rather than later! An even
wiser choice is to buy them online as discount vitamins.
